Globe lantern

These lanterns are made by layering tissue paper over a balloon with a mix of glue and water. You can add leaves or flower petals or your own tissue paper designs. The lantern can be made in 1-2 hours and then hung to dry overnight. The final steps can be done at home or at the scheduled Finishing Workshop at no additional cost - just pop the balloon, add a pipe-cleaner handle and insert an LED light or candle. Find a simple branch or bamboo stick to hang it on and you are ready to walk in one of the lantern processions on solstice night!
